Camellia meets Ted

I have been a fan of Ted Baker for a while now. It's what I like to call 'high street designer' Its affordable runway style and is really on trend right now!
I have been looking for the perfect New York day dress to wear when I go in October. The kind of dress Carrie Bradshaw would wear to a lunch date with the girls or a shopping trip on 5th Avenue - And I think I found it! Its £169 but could be used for day or evening. Its very flattering on all shapes and sizes and is also really easy to style. Wear nude flats and an oversized clutch for day and heels for night. Wear your hair up and have one small piece of jewellery. I would defiantly only use nude accessories though.
The bold print is very in right now, many designers have been using a print on the runways this season and are continuing through to autumn/winter.
I am also loving this Blue pleated skirt. Its very Halston with a rock chick twist. This skirt is fabulous. It is also available in hot pink. This is also really easy to style because it is such a statement already you don't need alot to make it look better. I think maxi skirts are really flattering and are perfect for a summers evening.

Speaking of pleating, Ted Baker also do this maxi dress in Orange. I think this is also a  nice twist on a Halston Heritage original, but Ted Baker has put its own twist on it. I love it - Wear a cute tribal sandal and clutch and your good to go! This dress is £199 - pricey but very classic - It wont go out of style you can style it up with anything that's on trend - leather jackets, a blazer, a denim jacket, a skinny belt, the options are endless!

I really do recommend you check out Ted Baker dolls, add some bold colours to your wardrobe this season!

Camellia Camellia

Yesterday I journeyed to Selfridges and just happened to stumble upon Chanel - I wonder how that happened!
I check out new stock at least every three weeks and noticed a new pair of sandals. I have seen these before - around November and last summer in different colours but this was the first time I saw them and fell in love!
These are the new Camellia Sandal by Chanel. They are £185. Pricey - But the new Louis Vuitton flip flops are 285 and less substitutional than these!
They run small and are quite narrow, I am usually a 39 and I have a pair of two tone flats in a 39 but these I had to get a 40 - which is the first time ever!
They are so comfortable and you know the saying you can't judge until you walk a mile in their shoes'  - well walk in these and you will realise why I spend £185! The second I put them on I felt like a princess.
I cannot wait to wear these when I go on holiday this summer. The second the sun comes out this spring I will have them on my feet! I am so excited - I think these would go perfectly with a maxi skirt and tank or a mini dress. I think they are so versatile. Style them down with jeans and an oversized blouse- the possibilities are endless! I love them and I think you will too!

Journey to your nearest Chanel, splurge and feel like a princess! Love, Camellia Xo

Camellia Don't

I think its time to go through a couple of my dont's!
I have been recognising all my loves and likes but I think its time to get down to business with the bad stuff!!
I actually do find it hard to sit down and think 'what do I actually not like!?'
newlook.com £59.99 - The perfect patent peep toe!
First, lets go through the things I think are important - and when you get it wrong - I don't like it!
Number One: BAD SHOES - granny flats or tasteless heels or scrappy sneakers.
I know everyone doesn't have lots of money to spend on expensive things, I get that, but don't go round with hooker heels. If your stuck finding the perfect high heel for an event or dinner date - go simple. A plain black patent peep or pointed platform is great.
You will probably always find a simple black heel in Primark, New Look or Topshop depending on your price range.
from £12.99 to £75.00. It is not always expensive to look fashionable! Most high street stores create replicas of  the collections shown on the runway to if you cant afford the runway try River Island!
There is NO excuse for bad shoes!
My number two 'No-No' has to be chipped nail polish. Either take it off or touch it up!

Trends:
Creepers.
They are tasteless, Ugly with a capital U and should never ever be fashionable.
I am not negotiable on Creepers. I dislike them and they go under the title of BAD SHOES.

P.S I cant even bare putting a picture of a creepers so just google it instead!!
I think that's enough Camellia Dont's for today dolls!

edit: I have just noticed Chanel have shown Creepers at their latest runway- I think it was Cruise 12/13- I love Chanel but I am still non negotiable! Creepers are awful from Primark and are awful from Chanel!

Camellia meets Blue

Chanel have recently released a new collection of Le Vernis nail colours in three magical shades of blue.
My favourite and the most popular being number 555 - Blue Boy.
It is the middle tone of blue being exactly the right shade for spring - ideal for evening or day and perfect with Chanel's denim collections of shoes and bags.
The nail varnishes retail for £17.50 and are well worth the expense!
What blue are you? Love, Camellia Xo

Camellia meets Tom

Nearly all my make-up is Chanel, I am rather a loyal customer! But when I was shopping in Selfridges yesterday I checked out Tom Ford!
I wear glasses and have done for years, my first pair were Armani, my second Chanel and my current pair are Tom Ford. I got these a while ago and Tom Ford was virtually unknown to me!
So back to the story- I was shopping and walked up to the Tom Ford space and fell in love with the bold lip and nail colours and the seductive eye shadows and bronzer!
I ended up buying rather more and I wanted, and as Tom Ford is quite highly priced my bank balance did suffer accordingly!

However, the lady who helped me was fabulous and did my whole face in the stick foundation and highlighter powder and the new 2012 spring collection eye creams which are in gold, platinum and copper shades, they are amazing. You only need a tiny amount and they look great and are seriously long lasting- i bought two- the Platinum and Spice at £28.00 each which is rather alot but I think definitely worth it. I also got the brow sculptor in Espresso which is also brilliant- well worth the hefty price tag of £32.00
My favourite though has to be the lipstick - its bold and bright and will make any outfit look fabulous, it is a must have dolls! Its a shade of purple and is called Violet Fatale. Its really long lasting and looks so glossy. The lipsticks are £36.00 but so worth it. Its perfect for night and day - casual or smart and defiantly perfect for spring/summer.
I also have fallen in love with their private blend fragrance - Black Violet. You have to check it out its AMAZING!
Check out Tom Ford cosmetics dolls at a Selfridges near you!  Come and meet Tom, I know you'll fall in love! Love, Camellia Xo

Camellia meets Cath

Recently I have been cheating on fashion with furniture - As Carrie Bradshaw would say!
I absolutely love Cath Kidston prints and have bought a few sets of towels and bedding! Its so vintage and cute, perfect for any girly girl!
John Lewis, Selfridges and Asos stock numerous Cath Kidston products! Its very reasonably priced and is fantastic quality!
If you are looking for a new look in your house, apartment, or bedroom look no further!
The vintage rose is my favourite- bright and bold and goes with almost everything.
Cath Kidston do all things fabulous from bags and wallets to soap and wallpaper its amazing.
You must check it out on cathkidston.co.uk for more information.
Keep it bright and bold dolls! Love, Camellia Xo

Lady Camellia

Hey dolls! Its been a while! I have been going all over to find the new hot trends, do's and dont's and hot colours this season!
Most recently I have found a love for Dior. I think its elegant and classy and most certainly on trend! The lady Dior is my absolute favourite! Its so classic and off course given its name 'Lady' after Princess Diana.
I am still loving nudes this spring and the lady Dior does come in nude and black and then other statement colours such as red and pink.
I personally prefer it is lambskin nude and patent black and either in the small or large size. Large for day and small for night but really either could be used as an all day look.
I do love a large bag but the small Lady Dior is so petite and cute, who wouldn't love it?!
I prefer the gold hardware but both looks great, it is more personal preference than anything.
I would wear the large Lady Dior with a cute black skirt suit with a large statement coloured tie - going for the elegant man look which the Kardashian's are loving right now! especially Kim and Kris who looks fabulous in these neon blazers!
And I would wear the small lady Dior with Chloe high wasted palazzo pants and pussy bow blouse all in neutral tones with Chanel flats and gold vintage earrings.

Nudes, Neon and off course a good print have all been seen on the runway this spring! Topshop and River Island have all adapted the trend into their new collections this season, all at high street affordable prices! Check it out online at Topshop.com and Riverisland.com.

Lets use the Diamond Jubilee as an excuse- keep it fashionably royal Dolls! Love, Camellia Xo
